Rosalyn Farney (she/they) is an artist from San Antonio, Texas and currently a student of the Studio Art MFA program at the University of Texas, Austin. Rosalyn studied at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, San Antonio’s Southwest School of Art, and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She was awarded the U.S. Fulbright Scholarship in the field of Animation for 2023-2024 to conduct creative archival research in Germany for her project Visionary Abstraction in Germany: Stop-Motion Animation and Transformative Archive. Her practice incorporates interdisciplinary approaches to archival collection and moving image practices. She currently produces stop-motion animation, prints and handmade paper; Her processes in animation are primarily developed frame-by-frame.
